HP 2133 Mini-Note Hong Kong Launch Details

Two versions will be launch in Hong Kong and both will be running on the VIA C7M 1.2GHz processor.

The Linux version will feature 1GB Ram on board together with a 120GB Hdd; price: HK$3,999 (US$513).

The Vista version will feature 2GB Ram on board together with a 160GB Hdd; price: HK$4,999 (US$641).

  1. seems like the Linux version makes better sense, price vs performace, especially if ‘downgrade’ to XP. Anyone has idea if this can be done? Will be interested to hear about this.

  3. The difference is HKD 1000 and you get

    (1) 1GB RAM upgrade
    (2) HDD upgrade from 120 to 160GB (33% more)
    (3) Windows Vista license (downgradable to XP)

    Sounds a good deal to me, even though you may not really want Windows Vista/XP.

  4. HK$680 the going rate for the Windows XP licence. BTW, really love your site here, seems like you’re the only English tech blogger around HK. Very helpful info, think the big boys should really gove you some sort of endorsement or sponsorship so you don’t need to dish out the dough to get the new gadgets.
