First Look – Sony Alpha 300 & 350 DSLR

The DSLR market been reallt busy this month. First the Sony announced the Alpha 200 to replace the A100 and yesterday they announced two more new DSLRs, the Alhoa 300 (10.2-megapixel) and Alpha 350 (14.2-megapixel) which features live view on a 2.7″ LCD. Both cameras offer the Sony’s new “Quick AF Live View” technology so you can frame photos on the camera’s LCD without sacrificing auto-focusing speed common to other live-view systems.

The DSLR-A300 kit with a DT 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 standard zoom lens will ship in April for about $800. The DSLR-A350 camera body will be available in March for about US$800, and the DSLR-A350 kit with a DT 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 3.9x zoom lens will be available for about US$900 at the same time.

I’m personally using the Sony Alpha 700 now for three months and I’m loving it. Rumors said the new Flagship, the A900 (with full-frame and 24-megapixel), will be launched mid-this year and I’m truly looking forward to that.
