ASUS Eee PC 900 is in DA House

Wow, what a trip to Singapore, will do a wrap up on that later tonight. While I was gone, ASUS Hong Kong launched the ASUS Eee PC 900 (Linus version) and the first batch was on sale yesterday. As I got back late last night (around 3:00am), I got a message that mine was ready for pick up today.

Okay, some pics for now and I’ll follow up with a more detail review in a few hours. If you have any questions, just post it up here and I’ll include them in the review.

  5. Not sure you can, probably not for the initial lot for stocks are running tight. Even if you can find one, expect a premium added on top.

  6. i’ve been reading eeepc info these 2 or 3 weeks. i identified this to be my next notebook until i read the spec of hp mini-note 2133 today.

  7. Hmm.. I tried out the EeePC 900 over the past couple days, apart from having to learn a new OS (linux), the battery life is the biggest issue (with 4,400 mAh). So the deal is if you’re into linux and can make sure that you’re getting the 5,800 mAh battery, then you should be pretty safe.

As for the HP mininote, initial feedbacks from the ones who received them are mixed, for Vista, a lot of people are having problems with the Vista and its SP1 update. So better wait until it’s released in your neighborhood, go up and take a look yourself, feel it a bit and decide. As for Linux on the HP, hmm…. might as well go with the Eee PC.
