Microsoft Courier Type App Ported to iOS – Tapose Review

Tapose

I’m loving this app but there’s much improvements to be made.  The media insert still not working after the latest update on Wednesday.  Turning pages is a real pain, you cannot just swipe for next page, instead you have to hit that top left or right page corner, now this is lame.  Some of the lag problem been tackled in the latest update but still traces of screen lock up here and there. For us in Asia, the worst part is that the app does not support Chinese nor Japanese input , real bummer (well, emoticons work at least, LOL).

Is it that bad? well, the app has real potential but I suspect it require much horsepower to get this app running. On the new iPad, it seems ok, more laggy on the iPad 2, for the iPad 1, well….don’t even think about it.

I hope the developers can work out the problem fast cause this app is getting a lot of attention for its innovative interface but at the same time, bad vibes for its problems.

Nice Read – The Case for Buying iPads for Your Kids

Image from Henriksent

Came across this article today from Brad MOON-WIRED over at Gizmodo addressing an issue that a lot of parents faces – should we be buying our kids an iPad. Does it justify the cost? Would it be too early? Would they be just gaming on it all day?……

Brad raised a few good points in starting early with the iPad for your kids. I don’t want to hijack his post and extract the points here but definitely a good read especially if you’re a parent and with kids yearning for an iPad. Check out the article here, The Case for Buying iPads for Your Kids.

iPad 3 Pricing Rumors – Starts at US$499

This came in via the Mac Observer where they quoted off MacRumors’ post earlier this week, an iPad 3 pricing sheet posted to Sina Weibo.  All across we noted a price increase of about US$80.  The first column above states the model, the second column being the iPad 2 launch prices, the third column being the rumored iPad 3 prices and the fourth column, prices in Chinese RMB.

DOes the better display and faster chip justify the price hike, you tell me.
