The Galaxy Note is officially launched last week in Hong Kong and the price tag for it is HK$5,590 (US$717) for no contract. Check out the video. More videos after the jump.
If you haven’t seen the phone in action, check out the reviews above. My initial thoughts –
- HUGE screen
- LARGE phone
- new Sense interface still as sluggish as the old TouchFLO interface (not better with Windows Mobile 6.5)
Would I want to buy one? nah, not now. Check out this review from Engadget if you want to know more about the HTC HD2.
Street price: HK$5,680 (US$728) from www.JipJipMobile.com
Now this reminds me how a Palm phone should have worked. Cheap, doable and……

Not sure whether it is just me or not, but the interfaces do look a bit complicated and slow.

Gonna take a week long to seriously test out the iPhone 3GS before I give you the lown down on the new version and the new OS. Check back.
Two things noticed so far –
- The iPhone 3GS is a lot faster than the 3G version
- It does get warm fairly fast while surfing, serious overheat issues
Will update more later tonight, still updating the iPhone and installing apps. So far the camera do look sweet and the speed a tibit faster.
For existing iPhone 3G users with 3HK, the so-called upgrade plan calls for HK$3,580 (US$459) prepayment for the 16GB version and HK$1,100 rebate over 12 months period. On top of that, the current contract has to be extended for a further 12 months. Net payment minus rebate = HK$2,480 (US$318).
As for the 32GB version, the prepayment is HK$4,360 (US$559), other remains the same. net price = HK$3,260 (US$418).
The iPhone 3GS will be available at major 3HK retail stores tomorrow.
Major ouch there.
