First Look & Review – HP2710p Tablet PC

[21 July] The all new HP Compaq 2710p Tablet PC for business users announced in the HP Mobility Summit in Shanghai back in May is set to be released in late July. 

Innovative features:

• A 12.1-inch diagonal widescreen Illumi-Lite display15 provides you with a slimmer and lighter notebook PC that is more energy efficient than a notebook with traditional LCD backlighting
• Nightlight keyboard for working in the dark
• Webcam with name card reader (that’s nifty)
• On board battery and add-on battery totals 10 hours+
• How the extended battery and docking works (see above pic’s illustration)
• QuickLook allows users to check calendars, email and other personal information within 10 seconds of the PC coming out of its hibernation mode
• Optional integrated HSDPA or EV-DO wireless wan module

[Updated: 23 July] The advertisement out today on PCM, listed price is HK$16,770.  Nothing on HP’s website yet and not sure about availability, will call and find out.
